"Merry"

Merry is our first Harrier and first Show dog, and what a hound she has turned out to be!  She has multiple group placements. This picture is of Merry when she took her second High In Trial, for her third and final leg to complete her CD!   She is a wonderful girl, loving and funny, yet stubborn and goofy too. Merry was bred by Donna Smiley-Auborn and Lurine Norwood  Merry is now spayed and retired from the show ring, although she makes occasional appearances in the Veteran classes. On April 13th, 2008, Merry earned her Tracking Dog title and also her VCD1 (Versatile Companion Dog) title. The VCD title is given by the AKC when a dog earns titles in obedience, agility, and tracking.  Merry is the second Harrier in breed history to earn the VCD and the FIRST Champion Harrier to do so.

"Janie"

Janie was bred by Robbin Phillips and is a beautiful little girl with a great sense of humor. Retired from the show ring after completing her championship, Janie still comes out on occasion and she was invited to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in 2004, 2005 and 2007. Janie has had one litter which produced two champions.

Lola is a sweet and very smart little girl. And of course, absolutely adorable.  She is very outgoing and confident and a delight to live with!

Luna has moved back home from Colorado and is now residing here at Wynfield.  Luna finished her championship by getting her last major the really hard way -- winning a Group 1!!! This puts her in a class that few other dogs can join! To the best of our knowledge, she is the first Red & White Harrier bitch to win a group at an AKC Show.

Update:  May, 2010 Luna has gone to live out her retirement on the farm in Colorado.

"Tinker"

Tinker has also moved home from Colorado. Tinker has matured into a handsome young man and is a delight to live with. Showing in the conformation ring is not his favorite thing, so he will concentrate on other things.
Update:  May, 2010 Tinker has gone to live out his retirement on the farm in Colorado.

"Vinny"

Vinny is our wonderful young man from Luna's first litter in 2006.  We just adore him, he's the sweetest boy you'd ever want to meet.  Vinny completed his championship requirements March 15, 2008. He earned both his majors by going Best of Breed over specials. Vinny will make occasional appearances in the specials ring but will be concentrating on obedience and tracking. Vinny earned his Tracking Dog Title at the 2011 Harrier National's inaugural tracking test in Salt Lake City, Utah, becoming the first ever Tracking title earned at a National Specialty.  Vinny and Ellen are working in obedience now and having a great time.

Rapture is a wonderful girl.  Smart and sassy, athletic and graceful.   Rapture enjoys tracking and lure coursing, but most of all, she just loves hanging out with us and her pack.

"Phoebe"

Phoebe lives in Northern California with owners Jill & Jamie Briggs who also own Monte, Phoebe's sire. Phoebe finished her championship easily with a BOS over 3 specials for a 3 point major, WB (5 points) at the Supported Entry the day after the 2005 Harrier National, as well as another 4 point major the day she finished.  Phoebe is being occasionally specialed by her owner, Jill, and has had some nice wins so far!

 September 25, 2009, Phoebe wins the Harrier National Specialty!

 Phoebe was bred for the first time in 2010 and we are watching the babies grow up!

"Brighty"

Brighty is Luna's daughter and Vinny's litter-sister. She lives in Independence, OR with co-owner Margie Dykstra.  Brighty finished easily, with her first major at 6 months of age, also winning Best Puppy in Show at the Cascade Hound Association the same day.  Her second major was earned going Winners Bitch at the 2007 Harrier National Specialty at 11 months of age. (And she was RWB the next day at the supported entry.) The rest of her points came easily and she was rarely defeated.  Brighty is working on obedience and tracking and will be shown as a special occasionally. Brighty has had one litter and the two puppies kept for show from this litter both earned their majors out of the 6-9 puppy class!

Gaea is co-owned with Becky Harding  who also has Luna and Tinker.  Gaea is spending some time at "Camp Wynfield" in order to get some points towards her championship and have a litter.  She is a silly, happy girl, just like her mother and a delight to have in the house.  It will be hard to let her go back to Colorado!
